Honestly, I was very disappointed in the “looks” these celebs showed up in to the BET Awards. I was expecting so much more. Some even looked way simpler than they do on a daily basis. I was even disappointed in the actual awards show. I didn’t even tune in this year. (But you know it wasn’t good because no memes are floating around. Memes tell it all!) Migos fighting Joe Budden, Chris Brown, or both. Remy Ma won Beat Hip Hop Artist. Like how?! Trey Songz and them vocals were a no. Overall disappointing. I still loved a few looks from last night though and here they are (read it in the nomination announcer man’s voice):
Hands down, my fav look! Tommie always has something out of the box up her sleeve including this mesh (17 Summer ’17 Fashion Trends #9) Dior dress she wore over barely anything because she writes her own rules. From the braided blonde hairstyle to the glitz shoes, I love it all! Can’t wait to see more “red” carpet looks from her!
While supporting her new man and dodging her last (even though rumors are saying there might’ve been some altercation between the two artists’ camps), Karrueche showed up to the BET Awards in this gorgeous shade of purple one shoulder, dramatic sleeve, half cape midi dress! This Gareth Pugh dress is showing off all of Rue’s best attributes. I’m loving this blonde on her as well. Blonde bobs stole the carpet last night and were also worn by Cardi B, Blac Chyna, and Tamar Braxton.
Ryan Destiny showed up looking more casual than others but still bomb af in a MISBHV zippered dress and denim styled by her personal stylist Scot Louie. A lot of people were confused by the look or expected her to wear a dress or something, but I get the look and aren’t y’all tired of everyone wearing a dress to these things. Like it would be so boring if everyone wore a dress, come on.
Only 3, Zhané?! Yup, only three. This wasn’t a look of the best dressed or who look great; they were my personal faves. A lot of celebs looked good last night but still disappointing because good is getting so old. Comment your top 3 BET Awards looks below!
